Our History: Innovation Since 1933
AriensCo was founded in 1933 by Henry Ariens and his three sons in Brillion, Wisconsin. Starting with the development of the first American-made rotary tiller, the company grew through innovation and perseverance. Over the decades, Ariens has introduced industry-defining products:
- 1958: First riding lawn mower, marking entry into the lawn and garden market.
- 1960: Launch of the Sno-Thro snow thrower, cementing our reputation as the King of Snow®.
- 1982: Expansion into the commercial market with the acquisition of Gravely Company.
- 2010: European expansion with the acquisition of Countax Limited and Sovde.
- 2019: Began producing petrol-powered Zero-Turn mowers at the UK plant, becoming the first manufacturer to do so in Europe.
- 2021: Acquisition of AS-Motor, bringing expertise in high grass and steep slope mowing to AriensCo.
